Your name: Samm

Hello, all! I am looking to pick a character. Just one. The thing is, I have a few small ideas and nothing where I am veering strongly, due to indecisiveness. The below are the notions that hold my interest the most and I am looking for feedback about who you think would work well here, who you would like to interact with, etc. I'm not prepared to make a decision today or whatever, we have some time.

This first concept is the one I am mooning to the most.

Character name: Ingrid Magnussen
Fandom: White Oleander
City life: A writer, perhaps a teacher (who might hate her job), librarian, etc.
Powers: I'm not sure yet! For her, I'd like something like turning things to ice, temperature manipulation, or something less ~obvious~ like being able to phase through objects and walls.
Do you think they'll be active? Probably not as much as most, but I frankly won't have time to be super duper involved, at least at first.
Do you think they'll participate in plot? She is more of a commentator and a solo wolf. She is more likely to do her own thing, socialise on her own terms, carve out her own life. She is fiercely independent in this way rather than being a team player of any kind.
Why this character interests you here: Recently, I felt inspired to go ahead and make a journal for her, so I'm toying with playing her somewhere.
Potential concerns: She is stone cold and doesn't make friends. This doesn't mean she isn't social, though. Also, she is a bit of an obscure character, so I don't know if anyone would care. For those that do know her, she'd probably be held to a high standard. Also, she comes from a world that is pure realism, and though I feel she has strong adaptive qualities, maybe she'd be side eyed for doing so by those who don't know her well.

Here are some back up notions:

Character name: Lucius Malfoy, possibly circa 1970s, so he would be in his 20s, rather than 40s. It would be my chosen canonpoint, rather than waking up younger with memories intact.
Fandom: Harry Potter
City life: Man, not sure. But he is sort of an up and coming lobbyist so he could go into more political and administrative roles. You know, low phyiscal effort.
Powers: As magic doesn't exist, I would take what skills seemed to fit him more, which was definitely leaning into the darker magics spectrum. My first thought would be some sort of mind-control persuasion (he had a knack for the Imperius Curse), or dramatic Death Eater style disapparition (within the confines of the setting, as stated re: teleportation powers). A take on the Cruciatus Curse might be interesting, like a biochemical pain response psychic power. OPTIONS.
Do you think they'll be active? He can be stand-offish, but there are ways to mitigate that. Especially with the revelation that his existence is a liiie.
Do you think they'll participate in plot? I love writing him in plotty capacity, so yes!
Why this character interests you here: He's one of my favourite characters to write anywhere, and I've been looking for a place to write the younger edition.
Potential concerns: I'm not sure how kosher it is to take a character from pre-canon! I feel like I can take implication from canon about what he may have been like, along with common sense, mostly because I've written him so much before. If it's not cool, though, that is fine in that I'd probably take someone else because I've written him exhaustively around onscreen canon times and it'd be the same deal even if I kept those memories and reverted his age.

Character name: Thor Odinson
Fandom: Marvel movie-verse, Thor.
City life: Enforcement, perhaps! Either for private type things (security guarding for business) or more public sector policing?
Powers: Probably super strength.
Do you think they'll be active? He is a pretty extroverted chap, so I would say this is likely.
Do you think they'll participate in plot? If you need a hero.
Why this character interests you here: As with Ingrid, I recently had a yen for this character and wound up slowly making a journal for him. I sort of like the notion that he is no longer, like, a god. For real this time.
Potential concerns: I've never written him before, perhaps there is objection to the movie-verse version of this character (I don't read comics because it's hard). He is also a Do-er, and I'm not sure how initiative-takey I will be at first, although this could probably be solved via his own displacement and a slower regaining of his powers.

Okay I am leaving it at these three lest I go crazy. For trivia purposes, my other options were Jack Sparrow and Gaius Baltar. And some other slightly lunatic ideas.
