How to

While the worldbuilding post is an excellent place to try and figure out City history CR, this page is more to help you to decide who you should apply for in the first place. Give us a good idea of what kind of character you're thinking of and let others comment in on how they might see it working! Think of it as a thought experiment for yourself and other players. As a reminder, this is completely optional. You are totally free to reserve or apply someone without commenting to this post first. ♢ Reception to your idea will have no effect on how the mods process your app. This is only a tool to help you decide who to put the effort into. ♢ Don't spam or flame any potential character comments. While just going "OMG YES!!" can be encouraging, it doesn't really give anyone a whole lot to work with, and neither does shooting someone down. Be constructive. ♢ Give your honest opinion. If you think a character really wouldn't fit in the setting, express your concerns. Maybe the potential applicant didn't think of it from a certain point of view. Paired with the above, please don't just go "I don't think this will work". Provide some reasoning! ♢ Don't take anything personal. Really, he seems like he could fit in fairly well! The only issue might be his probability powers, considering the nature of the metagame and its mystery. On the other hand, we mods could probably use it for nefarious purposes depending on how exactly you see it working. No matter what, it would be a pretty double-edged knife, though, and might require some talking out?

Again, she seems like she would not be out of place in the game. Her type of power would definitely be interesting depending on how she'd utilize it and how far you intended to take it in-game!

I am all for talking, because his canonical power set is very strange and pretty darn theoretical/surreal.

In previous games, I've said that Doul's mojo is limited to circumstances that are 'directly in front of him' - like how to move in a fight so that he's not injured instead of knowing what could happen tomorrow morning - and usually need a mechanical catalyst to set them properly in motion. It's not something he can use often, easily, or even consciously.

AND, everyone loves a hyena-like friend. :3

If you're okay with it being limited in that sort of manner or potentially used for player or mod plots, then it sounds like it would be juuust fine. :3 Nothing else looks like it would stand out as a potential problem, so I'd say you're good to go with whoever you feel like.

I am totally fine with limits and/or mod-use.

In the app, I've got a big ol' tl;dr blurb on how I see it working, but I'm always happy to adjust to fit the needs of the game.
