| While the worldbuilding post is an excellent place to try and figure out City history CR, this page is more to help you to decide who you should apply for in the first place. Give us a good idea of what kind of character you're thinking of and let others comment in on how they might see it working! Think of it as a thought experiment for yourself and other players. As a reminder, this is completely optional. You are totally free to reserve or apply someone without commenting to this post first. ♢ Reception to your idea will have no effect on how the mods process your app. This is only a tool to help you decide who to put the effort into. ♢ Don't spam or flame any potential character comments. While just going "OMG YES!!" can be encouraging, it doesn't really give anyone a whole lot to work with, and neither does shooting someone down. Be constructive. ♢ Give your honest opinion. If you think a character really wouldn't fit in the setting, express your concerns. Maybe the potential applicant didn't think of it from a certain point of view. Brucolac: Hm, yes that ended up being confusing, sorry. I had two thoughts in mind for how to deal with nosy vampire's canon self and the need to establish a city identity. I'd batted the idea around of him being an older brother to Doul's city identity (although I now see that there are a lot of sibling pairs in the cast already) To do so, he'd need to be an older dude, but canonically he does not look more than 30. One thought on how to play with that would be for the body that clambers out of the pod to be physically younger than the city identity applied to it. Another thought would be fore him to kinda de-age as he gets his powers back? At the end of the day it's all flavor stuff.
Sirius: In the books, Sirius makes/is involved with making a number of enchanted objects: the Marauder's Map, a two-way communication mirror and of course the motorbike, so to me it follows that he has a particular skill for making magic items. He may not be a good fit if I have to restrict his powers too much, as then I'd end up with a very depressed former wizard and he's more fun as a bright spot in a game cast.
F13: I definitely understand that this game will be very low on the supernatural stuff, and that's totally fine. (Perhaps F13 could see the "true selves" of other players, based on a permissions post?) I really like that the F13 everyone sees and the F13 that is in F13's head would be very different - this is an aspect of Changeling that all part and parcel of what the characters have to deal with. They might NOT have been kidnapped by evil fairy gods. They might just be crazy.

For Sirius, that is a side-effect of the setting and switching from "magic" to "power", and we're sorry to hear that. We aren't saying that you would need to totally restrict them, but there would likely need to be limits in place lest he accidentally becomes too powerful with it, you know?
Seeing the "true selves" of characters is a tricky proposition considering the mystery of the game and any NPCs that the PCs might encounter. Not to say that it would be outright disallowed, but we would definitely need to talk something like that over first if you were willing to.
