How to

While the worldbuilding post is an excellent place to try and figure out City history CR, this page is more to help you to decide who you should apply for in the first place. Give us a good idea of what kind of character you're thinking of and let others comment in on how they might see it working! Think of it as a thought experiment for yourself and other players. As a reminder, this is completely optional. You are totally free to reserve or apply someone without commenting to this post first. ♢ Reception to your idea will have no effect on how the mods process your app. This is only a tool to help you decide who to put the effort into. ♢ Don't spam or flame any potential character comments. While just going "OMG YES!!" can be encouraging, it doesn't really give anyone a whole lot to work with, and neither does shooting someone down. Be constructive. ♢ Give your honest opinion. If you think a character really wouldn't fit in the setting, express your concerns. Maybe the potential applicant didn't think of it from a certain point of view. City life: I can't help but lean toward bartending at this point. /sob
Powers: Hmm... Going from a pretty much all powerful creature... I'm thinking I might limit him to matter manipulation: change one thing into another thing, create objects out of thin air, banish objects into thin air, perhaps even changing his own shape from himself into that of another creature (i.e. a lady).
Do you think they'll be active? Reluctantly so, yes.
Do you think they'll participate in plot? Again, reluctantly so. However, if Aziraphale is getting involved, he is as well if only to protect the angel. ;3;
Why this character interests you here: I have missed playing my post-apocalyptic AU Crowley. And Anne lured me by being awesome. 8D But, no, seriously. Post-apocalyptic AU Crowley is a very sad and lonely individual. He needs to be around people again even if they're telling him his 6,050~ish years are a lie. In fact, he'd welcome the last thirty years as a lie.
Potential concerns: He's going to be a little bit of a drunken wallower for a bit (hey he hasn't been able to get drunk for 30 years, give him a break). But I think he can be broken out of that cycle once he starts collecting allies and distractions.

re: jobs; for long-term jobs (in the city) i could see him either bartending or as a really crotchety professor (either at the school of social sciences or at the community college thingy). it's probably easier for professors to be drunk all the time than actual bartenders DON'T GET FIRED DEAR

I think the word you were looking for in cantankerous, not crotchety. He's not old. :C He's like... 24 physically.

Also, he knows how to be sober at work. :P
