How to

While the worldbuilding post is an excellent place to try and figure out City history CR, this page is more to help you to decide who you should apply for in the first place. Give us a good idea of what kind of character you're thinking of and let others comment in on how they might see it working! Think of it as a thought experiment for yourself and other players. As a reminder, this is completely optional. You are totally free to reserve or apply someone without commenting to this post first. ♢ Reception to your idea will have no effect on how the mods process your app. This is only a tool to help you decide who to put the effort into. ♢ Don't spam or flame any potential character comments. While just going "OMG YES!!" can be encouraging, it doesn't really give anyone a whole lot to work with, and neither does shooting someone down. Be constructive. ♢ Give your honest opinion. If you think a character really wouldn't fit in the setting, express your concerns. Maybe the potential applicant didn't think of it from a certain point of view. Paired with the above, please don't just go "I don't think this will work". Provide some reasoning! ♢ Don't take anything personal. re: jobs; for long-term jobs (in the city) i could see him either bartending or as a really crotchety professor (either at the school of social sciences or at the community college thingy). it's probably easier for professors to be drunk all the time than actual bartenders DON'T GET FIRED DEAR

I think the word you were looking for in cantankerous, not crotchety. He's not old. :C He's like... 24 physically.

Also, he knows how to be sober at work. :P
